We Are Open For Business!

Last night we were proud to launch our office in Doonside, Western Sydney. Also, we took the blessing month of Ramadan to host our first Iftar, together with our friends and supporters.

We were honoured to have so many valuable leaders by our side. These include the Blacktown City Council Hon. Mayor Tony Blesadle , Nicole Duffy for federal member for Greenway Michelle Rowland MP, Stephen Bali MP state member for Blacktown, Blacktown councillor's, representatives of government and non government sectors, community leaders and friends of Afghan Women on The Move.

A special thank you to the AWOTM team for their voluntary work which made the night so beautiful.

We are so proud to have showcased our work and demnstrate that we as Afghan women can stand and speak for ourselves. We want to challenge and ensure that unfair and unjust conceptions about refugee women changes, we don’t want to see refugees and immigrants as a burden. They are the 'solution' for our social problems. They are the face of innovation, progress and harmony. But only if we treat them as such from start. As a grassroots organisation, we stand proudly to help our sisters from striving to thriving in Australia.
